How does the battery works
As the Infinite battery has much more functionalities and sensors than a traditional black box battery, some behaviours need to be explained.
Switch button or LED ?
One common thing that may seem strange is that when you turn off the battery with the switch, the LED are still on !
This is normal, there is no switch on the battery itself and the switch on the support controls the voltage of the battery.
The battery turns off by itself after some inactivity and can be wake up by the following events:
- current flowing in or out of the battery (charging or discharging)
- tap on the casing
- free fall of the casing
- humidity over 70%
- if there is enough energy still, periodic wakeup to ensure everything is ok and check for updates
You can only connect to the battery when the LED are on and this is independent of the switch position.
Color code of LED
Here are the LED pattern during usage:
Purple leds means that there is an error that needs verification. This error can come from bad reading of voltage during the assembly process. In this case , you can press 4 seconds on the "clear error button" that is behind the leds, it should reboot and led should be green (or blinking orange if the battery is not yet configured). If after this the led are still purple, it means that you have a real problem of voltage. To confirm you need to connect and send me a screenshot of the voltages.
During an update you should see:
If you have an temporary error, here is how to see what type of error it is:
